Abstract

PURPOSE: To automate the forging work, to make possible the forging of the complicated curved surface, and to contrive the saving of energy and shortening of time of forging work, by installing suitable number of push bars in the elevating frame so as to be vertically movably suspended under the condition being adjoining each other.
CONSTITUTION: The rod 8 of each clamp cylinder 7 is contracted for separating the holder 9 from the push bar 5, and hereby, a thin gap is formed between each of bars 5. By driving the motor 6 for rotating the screw rod 3, each of bars 5 is vertically shifted into the specified position, after that, the drive of the motor 6 is automatically stopped by the dies' shape setting controller. When the position of each bar 5 is set, the rod 8 is extended so as to join each of bars 5 into one body by the holder 9 forming the dies, which is then held by the dies frame 1 thorugh the cylinder 7. Under this condition, the dies frame 1 is vertically moved by the main body of forging press, and the material 11 is forged into the specified shape.
