Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the density irregularity by providing an inkjet recording head with multi nozzles, a detecting means for reading a test print by the recording head thereby to judge an abnormal image, and a different mode practicing means for carrying out a different mode than the recording mode in accordance with the judgement of the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A reading system reads a test print (S1). An abnormality detecting circuit 230 extracts characteristics of an image, e.g. the gradation degree of the image density in a very small area in the arranging direction of nozzles (S2), and compares the same with the characteristics of a limit image (S3). For example, if the image density is changed 25% or more in the area 1mm away, it is judged as an abnormal image (S4), without performing corrections. Whether the image is possible to be recovered is judged in S5. An abnormal image may be caused by the temporary adhesion of the ink dye to the orifice surface, and if the abnormal image is resulting from this reason, the abnormality detecting circuit 230 judges it possible to be recovered.

徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット記録装置。 4)前記実行手段が、画像記録をストップする手段であ
