Claims (4)
- 貴金属を主体とするチップと、Niを主体とし前記チップと溶融部を介して接続された母材と、を備える第1電極と、
前記チップの放電面に対向する第2電極と、を備えるスパークプラグであって、
前記溶融部は、前記チップと前記溶融部との第1界面と、前記母材と前記溶融部との第2界面と、が前記放電面に垂直な第1方向において重なり合う重なり部を有し、
前記重なり部は、前記放電面に平行な仮想面に投影した前記重なり部の重心を通る断面であり、且つ、前記放電面に垂直な断面を見たときに、
前記放電面に沿った第2方向における一端部の貴金属の含有率が50質量%よりも高く、前記第2方向における他端部のNiの含有率が50質量%よりも高いスパークプラグ。 - 前記断面において、
前記重なり部は、前記第1界面と前記第2界面との間の前記第1方向に沿う距離が、前記第2方向へ向かうにつれて次第に長くなる形をなし、
前記重なり部は、貴金属の含有率が50質量%且つNiの含有率が50質量%となる中間部が、前記重なり部の前記第2方向における中心位置よりも前記第2方向側に存在する請求項1記載のスパークプラグ。 - 前記断面において、
前記重なり部は、前記第1界面と前記第2界面との間の前記第1方向に沿う距離の最も短い最短部が、前記一端部および前記他端部以外の部位に存在し、
前記重なり部は、貴金属の含有率が50質量%且つNiの含有率が50質量%となる中間部が、前記最短部以外の部位に存在する請求項1記載のスパークプラグ。 - 前記断面は、前記重なり部の前記第2方向の長さが最も長くなる断面である請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のスパークプラグ。
