Description
・GPS受信器の型及び/又は識別体を示す。GPS信号処理ソフトウエアは、特定のGPS受信器によって出力されるGPS信号サンプル及び/又は特定のGPS受信器が受信するために使用するGPS信号の特性にGPS受信器の型及び/又は識別体をマップ(map)するデータベースにアクセスし得る場合、GPS受信器の型及び/又は識別体は、GPS信号サンプルを処理するために当該GPS信号処理ソフトウエアによって間接的に使用され得る。
・受信GPS信号の型(種類)及び/又は識別(体)を示す。特定のGPS受信器が、異なるGPS信号を受信するように、及び/又は例えばGPS受信器のユーザ入力手段を使用してユーザによって直接選択される一つ又は複数の動作モードで動作するように設計されてもよい。
・一つ又は複数の受信GPS信号フォーマット
・一つ又は複数の受信GPS信号中心周波数
・一つ又は複数の受信GPS信号帯域幅
・出力GPS信号搬送(キャリア)周波数を示す。受信GPS信号は通常、GPS受信器によって中間周波数(IF)にダウンコンバートされるであろう。
・出力GPS信号帯域幅を示す。これはGPS受信器によって行われるフィルタリングに対応するはずである。
・出力GPS信号サンプルフォーマット
・出力GPS信号サンプルレート
・出力GPS信号サンプル分解能
・画像符号(イメージサイン);すなわち、受信GPS信号の周波数の増加が出力GPS信号サンプル搬送周波数の増加又は減少の何れをもたらすかを示す。
・発振器型及び/又は発振器安定性パラメータ(oscillator stability parameter);例えばGPS受信器の発振器は温度補償を有するかどうかを示し、有する場合、精度パラメータ(accuracy parameter)になり、有さない場合、誤差パラメータ(error parameter)になる。
・アンテナ型;例えば効果的なビームパターンを示す。
Claims (20)
- GPSアンテナと、
受信GPS信号をサンプリングするためのアナログ・ディジタルコンバータ、及び、補助情報と共に前記GPS信号サンプルを出力するためのプロセッサを含むGPS RFフロントエンドと、
を備えるGPS受信器であって、
前記補助情報は、
前記GPS信号サンプルの特性、又は、
前記GPS信号サンプルに含まれる前記GPS信号の特性、
を記述しており、
前記特性は、当該GPS受信器に関するものであり、
前記補助情報が、GPS信号処理ソフトウェアを、当該GPS受信器の特性に適応できるようにする、
ことを特徴とするGPS受信器。 - 前記GPS信号サンプル及び補助情報が外部デバイスに出力される請求項1に記載のGPS受信器。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器の型又は識別に関する情報を含む請求項1に記載のGPS受信器。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器によって受信される前記GPS信号に関する情報を含む請求項1に記載のGPS受信器。
- 前記補助情報が、前記受信GPS信号の型若しくは識別、又は前記一つ若しくは複数の受信GPS信号フォーマット、中心周波数、若しくは帯域幅の何れかを含む請求項4に記載のGPS受信器。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器によって出力される前記GPSサンプルに関する情報を含む請求項1に記載のGPS受信器。
- 前記補助情報が、前記出力GPS信号搬送周波数若しくは帯域幅、前記GPS信号サンプルフォーマット、レート、若しくは分解能、画像符号、発振器型若しくは発振器安定性パラメータ、又はアンテナ型の何れかを含む請求項6に記載のGPS受信器。
- ユーザが前記GPS受信器の複数の動作モードの一つを直接選択し得るユーザ入力手段を更に有する請求項1に記載のGPS受信器。
- GPS信号サンプルを、補助情報と共にGPS受信器から受信するステップであって、前記補助情報は、前記GPS信号サンプルの特性、又は、前記GPS信号サンプルに含まれる前記GPS信号の特性を記述しており、前記特性は、当該GPS受信器に関するものであり、前記補助情報が、GPS信号処理ソフトウェアを、当該GPS受信器の特性に適応できるようにするステップと、
位置決定を確定するために前記補助情報を使用して前記GPS信号サンプルを処理するステップと、
を備える位置決定をもたらす方法。 - 前記GPS信号が拡散スペクトラム信号であり、前記補助情報が、前記GPS拡散スペクトラム信号の逆拡散を補助するために使用される請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記GPS信号サンプル及び補助情報が外部デバイスから受信される請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器の型又は識別に関する情報を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器によって受信される前記GPS信号に関する情報を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記補助情報が、前記受信GPS信号の型若しくは識別、又は前記一つ若しくは複数のGPS信号フォーマット、中心周波数、若しくは帯域幅の何れかを含む請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記補助情報が、前記GPS受信器によって出力される前記GPSサンプルに関する情報を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記補助情報が、前記出力GPS信号搬送周波数若しくは帯域幅、前記GPS信号サンプルフォーマット、レート、若しくは分解能、画像符号、発振器型若しくは発振器安定性パラメータ、又はアンテナ型の何れかを含む請求項15に記載の方法。
- 請求項9乃至16の何れか一項に記載の方法を実行するための命令を有するコンピュータプログラム。
- 請求項9乃至16の何れか一項に記載の方法を実行するための命令を含む記録データを有するコンピュータ読み出し可能な記憶媒体。
- 請求項9乃至16の何れか一項に記載の方法を実行するように構成される装置。
- 請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の型のGPS受信器に接続するように構成される請求項19に記載の装置。
