Abstract
Description
1)中間体1の合成
1−ブロモトルエン 11.2g(65mmol)、フェノキサジン 9.8g(54mmol)、ナトリウムtert−ブトキシド 5.76g、トリス(ジベンジリデンアセトン)ジパラジウム(0)(Pd2(dba)3) 0.732g、およびトリ(tert−ブチル)ホスフィン 0.2gをトルエン250mlに溶解させた後、80℃で12時間反応させた。
中間体1 4.5g(16.47mmol)をCHCl3 150mlに溶解させた後、0℃に維持しつつ中間体1に対して1当量の臭素を徐々に添加した。薄層クロマトグラフィ(TLC)により、出発物質が消費されたかどうかを確認した。最終的に出発物質がすべて消費されたのを確認した後、臭素の添加を止め、反応混合物を10分間攪拌した後で反応を停止させた。
中間体2 3.0g(8.54mmol)、N,N−ジフェニルベンジジン 1.15g(3.42mmol)、ナトリウムtert−ブトキシド 1.0g、Pd2(dba)3 0.115g、およびトリ(tert−ブチル)ホスフィン 0.034gをトルエン250mlに溶解させた後、80℃で12時間反応させた。
1)中間体3の合成
1−ブロモトルエン 11.2g(65mmol)、フェノチアジン 10.7g(54mmol)、ナトリウムtert−ブトキシド 5.76g、Pd2(dba)3 0.732g、およびトリ(tert−ブチル)ホスフィン 0.2gをトルエン250mlに溶解させた後、80℃で12時間反応させた。
中間体3 4.5g(15.5mmol)をCHCl3 150mlに溶解させた後、0℃に維持しつつ中間体3に対して1当量の臭素を徐々に添加した。薄層クロマトグラフィ(TLC)により、出発物質が消費されたかどうかを確認した。最終的に出発物質がすべて消費されたのを確認した後、臭素の添加を中止し、反応混合物を10分間攪拌した後で反応を停止させた。
中間体4 3.13g(8.54mmol)、N,N−ジフェニルベンジジン 1.15g(3.4mmol)、ナトリウムtert−ブトキシド 1.0g、Pd2(dba)3 0.115g、およびトリ(tert−ブチル)ホスフィン 0.034gをトルエン250mlに溶解させた後、80℃で12時間反応させた。
前記化合物(4)および前記化合物(9)を、トルエンに対して1mMの濃度でそれぞれ溶解させて、それぞれの溶液の紫外・可視吸収スペクトル(UV/Visスペクトル)を測定した。その結果、前記化合物(4)および前記化合物(9)の最大吸収波長は、それぞれ357nmおよび356nmであり、紫外線吸収端からバンドギャップを計算したところ、それぞれ3.03eVおよび3.01eVであった。
正孔注入層として化合物(4)の代わりに化合物(9)を用いたことを除いては、前記実施例1と同様の方法で次のような構造を有する有機電界発光素子を作製した:ITO(第1電極、厚さ100nm(1000Å))/化合物(9)の層(正孔注入層、厚さ35nm(350Å))/化学式(16)で表される化合物の層(正孔輸送層、厚さ30nm(300Å))/前記化学式(17)で表される化合物の層(発光層、厚さ40nm(400Å))/LiF(電子注入層、厚さ0.7nm(7Å))/Al(第2電極、厚さ200nm(2000Å))。この素子は、電流密度50mA/cm2で1500cd/m2の緑色発光を示し、電流効率は2.68cd/Aであった。

Claims (5)
- 下記化学式(1)で表されるフェニルフェノキサジン系化合物またはフェニルフェノチアジン系化合物:
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8、およびR9は、それぞれ独立して、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、シアノ基、ヒドロキシ基、炭素数1〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換である直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキル基、炭素数3〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるシクロアルキル基、炭素数5〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロシクロアルキル基、炭素数1〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換である直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルコキシ基、炭素数6〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアリール基、炭素数7〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアラルキル基、または炭素数2〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロアリール基であり、
Xは、酸素原子または硫黄原子であり、
Ar1およびAr2は、それぞれ独立して、炭素数6〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアリール基、または炭素数2〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロアリール基である。 - 下記反応式(1)中の下記化学式(14)で表されるフェニル基含有ブロモフェノキサジンまたはフェニル基含有ブロモフェノチアジンを、下記反応式(1)中の下記化学式(15)で表されるN,N−ジアリールベンジジンと反応させることを特徴とする、下記化学式(1)で表される化合物の製造方法:
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8、およびR9は、それぞれ独立して、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、シアノ基、ヒドロキシ基、炭素数1〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換である直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキル基、炭素数3〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるシクロアルキル基、炭素数5〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロシクロアルキル基、炭素数1〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換である直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルコキシ基、炭素数6〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアリール基、炭素数7〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアラルキル基、または炭素数2〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロアリール基であり、
Xは、酸素原子または硫黄原子であり、
Ar1およびAr2は、それぞれ独立して、炭素数6〜20の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるアリール基、または炭素数2〜30の置換されているかもしくは非置換であるヘテロアリール基である。 - 第1電極と、
