Therefore, in the outdoor unit 21 of the conventional air conditioner, the innermost heat exchanger portion 24b and the bell mouth 28 are prevented from interfering with each other by the variation of the bending for bending the heat exchanger 24, so that the innermost heat is prevented. Exchanger part 24c and bell mouth 2
I had no choice but to make a big gap with 8. As a means for increasing the gap g, a method of reducing the diameter of the fan 29 or widening the width of the heat exchanger has been used. However, the former has a problem that the performance is deteriorated, and the latter has a problem that the outdoor unit 21 of the air conditioner becomes large in size and expensive, and there is no suitable means in either case. Further, when the short end plate 25 is attached to the outer stage heat exchanger portion 24c, the U-shaped portion 22b of the heat transfer tube 22 in which part of the blown air is exposed at the end portion of the innermost heat exchanger portion 24b is used. A short circuit that flows back through occurs, and the heat exchange performance of the step portion 24a was not maximized.

Further, in the outdoor unit of the conventional air conditioner, as shown in FIG. 11, the outer stage heat exchanger portion 24c expands outward due to the springback during bending, so that the inner stage heat exchanger portion is expanded. There is a problem that a gap g 1 is formed between 24 b and the heat exchange efficiency is lowered. Further, in order to prevent springback, it is necessary to separately provide a stopper for locking, which causes a problem of cost increase.

As shown in FIG. 3, the end plate 8 has a plate thickness t of 0.5 mm or more, a substantially L-shaped cross section and an angled shape, and has an L-shape facing the heat transfer fins 4. A plurality of insertion holes 8a 1 into which the heat transfer tubes 3 of the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b are inserted are formed on one side, and the other side orthogonal to the one side is connected to the surface on the one side. A plurality of elliptical elongated holes 8a2 are bored corresponding to the space of the U-shaped portion 3a of the heat pipe 3, and a mounting screw hole 8b is bored in the lower end portion on the other side. A portion 8c is provided. By setting the thickness of the end plate 8 to 0.5 mm or more, even if the outdoor unit 1 of the air conditioner is dropped during transportation, the end plate will not be deformed. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the end plate 8 is screwed to the rising portion 2c 1 of the bottom plate 2c of the unit main body 2 by a screw 9 penetrating the mounting screw hole 8b. Thereby, even if there is variation in the bending of the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b, the end plate 8 can reliably fix the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b at a predetermined position. Also, the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b
Prior to bending, the outer heat exchanger portion 5c allows the heat transfer tube 3 and the heat transfer fin 4 to be tightly fixed to each other by expanding the heat transfer tube 3. This expansion is fixed by the U-shaped part 3 of the heat transfer tube (U-shaped tube)
A mechanical tube expanding method is preferred in which the bottom part (hairpin part) and the tube opening end are held and fixed, and a tube expanding mandrel is inserted from the tube opening to expand the tube. This mechanical tube expanding method can reduce the shrinkage of the length of the heat transfer tube 3 after expanding, and can achieve high quality and cost reduction.

Conventionally, if an end plate is provided on the side of the U-shaped portion 3b of the heat transfer tube 3, it is difficult to hold and fix the U-shaped portion 3b at the time of expanding the tube. Therefore, the expansion of the length of the heat transfer tube 3 is small. Was difficult to adopt, but it becomes possible by providing the long hole 8a 2 on the other side of the end plate 8 as described above. Long hole 8a
The shape of 2 is not limited to an elliptical shape, and may be any shape.

As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 5, since the end plate 8 is interposed between the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b and the bell mouth 7 provided around the blowout port 2b, the end plate 8 is close to the end plate 8. The inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b arranged in such a manner does not interfere with the bell mouth 7. Further, since the end plate 8 and the bell mouth 7 are provided close to each other to form a substantially sealed state, the U of the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b is blown from the outlet 2b.
A short circuit that flows backward to the vicinity of the U-shaped portion 3c of the character portion 3b and the outer stage heat exchanger portion 5c is prevented, and the vicinity of the step portion 5a formed between the inner stage heat exchanger portion 5b and the outer stage heat exchanger portion 5c. The heat exchange performance of can be maximized.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the air sucked from the suction port 2a by the action of the electric fan 6 exchanges heat with the heat exchanger 5 and is blown out of the unit body 2 from the blowout port 2b. In this heat exchange process, the suction port 2a and the step portion 5a become negative pressure due to the action of the electric fan 6, but the air flow is provided with the end plate 8 close to the bell mouth 7 to form a substantially sealed state. Therefore, unlike the conventional case, there is no occurrence of a short circuit in which the backflow flows from the air outlet to the vicinity of the U-shaped portion of the heat exchanger, and the backflow from the air outlet to the vicinity of the U-shaped portion of the heat exchanger is prevented. Therefore, the heat exchange performance in the vicinity of the step portion 5a can be maximized.

For example, as shown in FIG. 9, a locking protrusion 2Ba 2 is provided on a rising portion 2Ba 1 of a bottom plate 2Ba of the unit body 2B.
Is provided, and the heat exchanger 5 is attached to the locking protrusion 2Ba 2.
The outer stage heat exchanger portion 5Bc of B is in contact. Therefore,
Even if the outer stage heat exchanger section 5Bc tries to expand outward due to springback during bending, its movement is suppressed, and it is possible to prevent a gap from being formed between the outer stage heat exchanger section 5Bc and the inner stage heat exchanger section 5Bb. The heat exchange efficiency can be improved. Moreover, since it is not necessary to separately provide a stopper for locking, the cost can be reduced.
