Abstract

Η επιφάνεια κατακλίσεως εις κλίνην αποτελείται εκ παραλλήλως και εις απόστασιν απ' αλλήλων διατεταγμένων αρθρωτώς εδραζομένων δοκίδων αι οιποίαι εδράζονται κατά το μέτωπον αυτών επί στοιχείων επαφής διατασσομένων κατά τρόπον ώστε να διολισθαίνουν εντός των πλευρικών τμημάτων της κλίνης. Εκαστον στοιχείον επαφής κείται κατά την κάτω επιφάνειαν αυτού επί πολυαρίθμων υπερκειμένων αλλήλων ταινιών, ως εκ τούτου εξασφαλίζεται κατά την κάθετον κίνησιν του στοιχείου επαφής μία προοδευτική ελαστικότης. Η επιφάνεια κατακλίσεως αποκτά ούτω εξαιρετικήν ελαστικότητα με καλήν προσαρμογήν εις το περίγραμμα του σώματος. Ακόμη και τα βαρύτερα σώματα δεν προκαλούν την πρόσκρουσιν των εκάστοτε στοιχείων επαφής, οπότε θα παρετηρείτο απώλεια ελαστικότητος. Λόγω της αναφερθείσης προοδευτικής ελαστικότητος, επιτυγχάνεται, ακόμη και όταν ολόκληρον το βάρος του σώματος ασκηθεί εις σημείον, συμπεριφορά ελαστική. ω
