Abstract

Chloroprene polymers are vulcanized to a condition such as ebonite by heating the polymers, mixed with sulphur &c. for a period longer than that necessary for natural rubber. An example specifies a mix heated 8 1/2 hrs. at 60 lbs. per sq. in. pressure. Specification 542,897 is referred to.
