Abstract

569,693. Handle fixings. UNDERWOOD, D. E. Sept. 1, 1943, No. 14258. [Class 61 (i)] A broom &c. handle attachment device comprises a socket 3 carried by a flange 1 secured to the broom head and adapted to receive a spigot 6 on a handle socket 5 which spigot has a fixed pin 8 adapted to engage a right-angled bayonet slot 4 in the socket 3 and a spring locking pin 9 adapted to enter the longitudinal part of the slot 4 when the pin 8 reaches the end of the traverse part of the slot.
