[Class 49] [Also in Groups V and III] A composition for producing airtight coatings or films on foodstuffs to preserve them consists of rubber latex mixed with shellac dissolved in a heated solution of ammonia. The composition is applied cold, by dipping, spraying or brushing, to hams, bacon, cheese, etc.
