Abstract
267,192. Humphris, F. Nov. 26, 1925. Nails. - A longitudinally folded or corrugated nail, Fig. 32, is made from sheet metal by dies which first punch a blank, the upper die and cooperating yielding ejectors then transferring the blank to a lower die whereon it is corrugated. On the upper die rising, the yielding ejectors rise and discharge the completed nail into a shoot located beside the lower die, without passing the nail back through the sheet. Several nails may be produced at one stroke of the dies. The dies may be built in sections and may be assembled as a sub-press mechanism.
