Abstract

194,644. Snow, C. S. H. Dec. 6, 1921. Two-stroke-cycle engines.-In engines of the kind in which air is drawn into the transfer passage a through a valve near the cylinder admission port so as to enter the cylinder before the combustible mixture, the air enters during the whole of the piston upstroke, the transfer pipe is of the form shown, and the combustible mixture enters the crank chamber through ports d, e. The charge may be warmed by contact with the cylinder wall before entering. Specifications 22059/04, 19196/14, and 111,918 are referred to.
