Abstract
1,234,121. Immune ribonucleic acid. ZAIDAN HOJIN BISEIBUTSU KAGAKU KENKYU KAI. 20 Jan., 1969 [20 Jan., 1968], No. 3105/69. Heading A5B. A method for developing immunity against an antigen in an animal, other than a human being, comprises injecting into the animal immune ribonucleic acid prepared from macrophages existing in the spleen, lymph node and/or peritoneal exudate of an animal which is heterologous to the first named animal and has been immunised by injection of the antigen. The immune ribonucleic acid may be prepared by injecting antigen into an animal to develop immunity, slaughtering the animal, extracting RNA from macrophages existing in the spleen, lymph node and/or peritoneal exudate of the animal and purifying the RNA by subjecting it to the action of a proteolytic enzyme, followed by column chromatography or super centrifuging.
