Abstract

1298721 Spray carburetters INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 12 March 1970 [12 March 1969] 11831/71 Heading F1B Fuel is supplied to a discharge member 29 downstream of the throttle valve 12 from a float chamber 15 due to the pressure difference created by a Venturi 14 in the induction passage 11 between a port 32 upstream of the Venturi throat and a port 36 in the region of the Venturi throat. The pressure difference causes fuel to be discharged from the nozzle 27 of the fluidic metering device 25 to the port 33 leading to the discharge member 29. The fluidic metering device (25'), Figs.5 and 6 (not shown), may be formed in a tubular element (35) extending across the region of the Venturi throat. The nozzle 27 is positioned at a distance from the opening of the port 36 not exceeding one half the length of the perimeter of the port.
