Abstract

1,273,768. Harrows. C. J. STEKETEE. 21 July, 1969 [22 July, 1968], No. 36567/69. Heading A1B. A harrow has at least one rotating element provided with teeth 8 and having an upright or inclined hollow axle 3 through which seed or fertiliser passes from a hopper 14. Each hollow axle has attached a geared wheel 9 which intermeshes with the adjacent geared wheels 9, the drive being communicated from a tractor power take-off through a coupling axle 13, an axle 12 provided with a toothed conical driven wheel 11, and a conical toothed wheel 10 attached to one of the geared wheels 9. A rotor 16 in each hopper is driven on an axle 17 by an endless chain 21 from a ground wheel 19.
