Abstract

1,131,194. Rotary filter for slurries. E. WASSBERG. 15 Feb., 1967 [16 Feb., 1966], No. 7188/67. Heading BID. A perforate filter drum I has an integral internal helical flange 2 which moves solids delivered by conduit 13 along the drum to discharge at end 6 as the drum rotates. The drum is supported on rollers 4 and driven by motor 3 through gears 11, 12. Filtrate is received by trough 8. The outside of the drum is subject to jets of liquid 15 and to brush 14, both extending from tube 10, along the length of the drum. The apparatus is used to filter paper pulp or machine-tool coolant.
