Abstract

The toothbrush with interchangeable heads consists of a body forming a handle at one end, the end of which has a female part with stud and ribbed bulge for receiving and holding the functional element, in particular a brush in place, as well as of a head carrying the functional element and which is integrated into the handle by means of a clip. The object of this invention consists in improving the user's daily brushing. He can modify the head of his toothbrush as a function of his teeth, of his conception of dental hygiene, and of the anatomy of his mouth. He separates the active part (brush) from the handle as desired. There are very many applications, with the possibility that 5 types of brush can be fitted: rotary brushes, tufted brushes, rubber brushes, bottle-brush-type brushes, brushes made with nylon fibres and small brushes for children.

TOOTHBRUSH WITH INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS
In our daily exercise, it turns out that the problem of the lack of hygiene or dental prevention of our patients represents one of the main causes of failure of all our prosthetic restorations.

A group of Experts from the World Health Organization (O.M.S.) has shown that the damage caused to supporting tissues by periodontal disease is irreparable (GENEVE 1978).

Most of the time, the role of dental surgeons consists in preventing and then curing, among other things, the consequences caused by chronic lack of hygiene.

Our main goal is therefore to obtain perfect cleaning efficiency. This is the reason why I thought of designing this toothbrush which, in my opinion, fulfills all the criteria for perfect brushing.

The present intervention is illustrated by the appended drawings in which the plate 1/2 represents 3 different models seen in profile and the plate 2/2 represents these same 3 models seen from the front.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BRUSH
THE BODY: it is the non-modifiable fixed part. it is a 12 cm long handle designed in plastic material with a 10 cm straight shape.

At one of the two ends, a tip of I cm represents the female part (like a clip of a pen) on which will be fixed the different types of brush. Just after this lug is provided a grooved 3 mm bulge to allow the thumb to block the handle and be able to grasp it with both hands.

The shape of the other end of the handle is finished with an angle of 300.

This angulation allows a more precise visualization of the tip, or there is an emulsion (water and colored oil type which mixes when the brush is agitated and gives in its final pftase a uniform coloring.

This is used to measure the time spent brushing. it is not a question of offering an additional gadget, the goal of this idea is, in fact psychological. The patient will brush longer than usual.

 This is a pleasant way to see the time spent brushing your teeth.

A hole made in the terminal part of the brush will allow the patient to fix it to a wall support.

INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS
The originality of this structure consists in placing the brushes in this handle according to the desired use.

The functional part (brushes or handle etc) is integrated into the fixed part (handle) via a clips.

After using the "instrument" used, remove it by pulling on each side, replace the handle thanks to the hole provided for this purpose on a wall support and the brushes in a box protected from dust.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DIFFERENT HEADS the 3 brushes. These are three independent brushes whose tufts of nylon (rounded tip) are inserted in a plastic housing of round shape.

These three circular heads penetrate by means of 3 screws in a plastic mancvhon of which one end presents a conyex end (this form avoids hurting) and the other end by a pipe form corresponds to the male part (integrates perfectly to the handle previously described)
We will not describe to the members of the Jury the method of brushing downwards at the top (by the maxilla) and the reverse for the mandible "toulours from red to white" to summarize.

This movement is therefore facilitated by circular brushes.

THE NORMAL BRUSH
Always with the same idea that drives us: the active head and the man, separate che.

They are fixed by interpenetration of two corresponding parts (like the cap of a felt pen, the only difference being the fact that the retention of the length of the male part is more important).
