Abstract

A coupling system for two pies when adjustment of one w.r.t. the other is required in a longitudinal, axial or angular direction, has a sleeve (1) into which is threaded the end of a pipe (11) or coupling sleeve (11). The sleeve has a small dia. section through which is passed the end of a second pipe (21) of smaller dia. than the first piep (11). The second pipe (21) is held by a flexible joint (7) which is clamped between the sleeve (1) and a ring (19) bolted to the sleeve. An annular space between the second pipe (21) and the inner dia. of the small dia. sleeve section allow angular and axial adjustment of the second pipe w.r.t. the first pipe into which it extends.
