Abstract

The ventilation system may be used with two-pitched tiled roofs and utilises grill inlets at eaves level with outlets incorporated in special ridge details. The outlets are continuous and adjustable with an approximately semicircular ridge fitting (5) stooled up to cantilever with clearance over two symmetrically disposed deflector sections (1). The deflectors (1) lap the top edges of the tiles (3) and their top edges return externally in semi-circular formation. The stool may comprise an inverted 'U' section (11) which is fixed to the purlins by two cranked metal straps (15, 16). The straps are stepped (18) to fit the corners of the 'U' section (11) and form a trough locating a winged (8) 'U' section (22) which in turn supports the ridge section (5).
