Abstract

The support and supply block is for fluorescent lamps, having a housing and a portion of insulating material. The latter comprises two detachable sections mounted at one end of the tubular lamp. A ballast resistance is mounted inside the housing, which also has mountings for a starter and a capacitor together with a lamp socket, and an external connection for the electric supply. The housing has a flat wall (6) of insulating mouldable material, with which the mountings for starter and capacitor (13, 16) the lamp socket and the electrical connector (10) are integral. The contacts for the mountings and the socket and some of those for the connector are accessible from outside, while all the other terminals and connections are on the inside.
