Abstract
The unit recovers the energy from the suspension of the vehicle in which it is mounted, and transmits this to dynamo supplying electric motors driving the vehicle wheels. The dynamo can be rotated by a flywheel, whose size varies with that of the vehicle, rotating in a vacuum to reduce friction from air. Energy can be recovered by a series of connecting rods actuated as the wheels move to and from the chassis, and driving angle-pieces in turn coupled by chains to freewheel pinions. The flywheel can be got going initially by a hand lever whose movements are transmitted in the same way as from the suspension.
