Abstract

The spring loaded sliding bolt lock is designed to avoid any projections beyonds each major door face and for simple mounting within the frame member. A bolt (7) slides within a cylindrical housing (4), the guide housing (4) being inserted in a horizontal drilling and traversing the door frame, the bolt projecting towards the exterior to engage a locking socket and towards the interior to support a knob handle (8). A coil spring (9) maintains the bolt projecting and the housing is externally flanged (11) for fixing to the frame and flanged (10) for spring (9) retention, at outer and inner ends respectively with the bolt (7a) reducing in dia. (7b) to screw into the knob (8).
