L'invention est caractérisée par un procédé d'emballage constitué d'au moins trois têtes d'enroulement et/ou plus, l'une enroulant le câble et chacune des autres têtes faisant office de station pour des opérations post-enroulement (coupe, emballage, retrait, chargement de bobines vides, etc.).
