  • the traverses In the activated state, the traverses preferably block the associated awning arm in its position, so that it is prevented from doing so, for example accidentally swinging in due to the effects of wind during a storm. • the awning is preferably not self-supporting, as is known per se for awnings for camping vehicles, but has support feet. When constructing the awning, it is preferably necessary for these support feet to be attached when the awning fabric is not yet fully unrolled and to be repositioned as the awning fabric continues to be unrolled.
  • the drop profile is preferably the element of the awning furthest away from the mounting wall and therefore loads the awning arms with the greatest leverage when the awning has not fallen down. Compared to an arrangement of the traverses, in which their weight acts on the drop profile during assembly, the awning fabric can be unrolled further before the support legs have to be used.
  • a receptacle is preferably provided in each of the awning arms and the crossbars can be stowed away in the receptacle when the awning is in the dismantled state and during assembly or dismantling of the awning. • the traverses In the activated state, the traverses preferably allow an increase in the tension of the awning fabric, preferably by absorbing compressive forces in the direction of their longitudinal extent. In addition, the traverses preferably prevent the awning arms from pivoting in when activated, preferably also by absorbing compressive forces running in the direction of their longitudinal extent. In order to prevent the traverses from changing in length, more precisely shortening, for example telescopically shortening, as a result of these compressive forces, blocking means are preferably provided with which a change in length of the traverses can be blocked.

Description

The invention relates to an awning for a camping vehicle, with an awning fabric, with a front profile to which the awning fabric is attached, with awning arms that each have a dropout end attached to the front profile, the awning arms each being designed as an articulated arm with two segments and the segments of an articulated arm being pivotably connected to one another with a central joint, with crossbars being provided which can each be arranged between an awning arm and the front profile.

Such an awning is from BE 1006486 A3 already known. In the drawings of this document, trusses are shown which are slidably and articulated on the articulated arms and only articulated on the drop profile, ie not movable. The description also mentions a variant in which the traverses are slidably arranged on the drop profile and are only articulated and therefore not slidable on the awning arms. The disadvantage of this awning is that it is complex to manufacture.

The KR 2018 0076998 A shows an awning in which crossbars run parallel to the front profile. From the U.S. 9,797,487 B2 a device for converting motion is known, which can be used for awnings.

The invention has set itself the task of creating an awning that is improved with regard to this disadvantage.

This object is achieved by the awning reproduced in claim 1.

In the awning according to the invention, the traverses are pivotally arranged at one end by means of the central joint on an awning arm, preferably non-detachably. This end of the trusses is hereinafter referred to as the fixed end. The segments of a swivel arm are preferably connected to one another with the central joint so that they can swivel about a joint axis. The traverses are each arranged on an awning arm such that they can be pivoted about a pivot axis by means of the central joint. The joint axis preferably runs congruently with the pivot axis. In other words, the traverses are preferably arranged on the awning arms so as to be pivotable about the same axis about which the segments of the awning arms are pivotably connected to one another.

In this way, a joint that is already present, namely the middle joint of the articulated arms, is preferably used and expanded by an element articulated with it, namely the traverse. This can be less of a hassle than providing a separate joint for the truss. In addition, a prerequisite for saving space is created, since the space for a further joint can be saved. In this way it can be achieved that the dimensions of the awning are not increased in the dismantled state, that is to say, for example, that any awning housing does not have to be dimensioned larger because of the traverses. Since the central joint is usually of robust design, a robust arrangement of the traverses can be achieved with a space-saving design and low cost. In addition, a more robust arrangement and better distribution of forces can be achieved in this way, compared to an arrangement in which the traverses are fixed, for example, closer to the drop profile on the respective awning arm. In that the traverses, as is preferred, introduce their forces into the awning arms at the central joint, a bending load on the segments of the awning arms by the traverses compared to an arrangement in which the traverses are arranged at a different point on the awning arms than the central joint, be reduced or it can be completely avoided a bending load of the segments of the awning arms by the trusses.

The middle joint is preferably not displaceable relative to the awning arm.

The awning arms can preferably be pivoted out to erect the awning and pivoted in to dismantle the awning.

Each articulated arm can have exactly two segments or more segments. Each articulated arm preferably comprises at least two segments and at least one middle joint. Each articulated arm preferably comprises a front profile-side segment and a non-front profile-side segment. The dropouts of the awning arms are preferably pivotably attached to the drop profile. The dropouts of the awning arms are preferably arranged on the segment on the dropout profile side.

According to a first aspect of the invention, the traverses each have a free end. The traverses can preferably be brought into a state in which their free ends are not connected to the awning.

Each traverse is preferably connected to the awning by just one joint. The free end of each traverse preferably has no joint.

Preferably, the pivot axis of the traverses, about which they are each arranged pivotably on the associated awning arm, runs at least approximately vertically.

According to the invention, the traverses are arranged on the awning arm such that they can be pivoted about the pivot axis in such a way that their free ends can move in the direction of the center of the awning when the awning arms are pivoted out.

The traverses can preferably each be brought into an activated state and into a deactivated state.

Preferably, the traverses - such as when the awning is to be dismantled - can each be arranged parallel to an awning arm, preferably fixed to it. This state is preferably referred to as the deactivated state of the traverses. In the deactivated state, the traverses preferably each run parallel to an adjoining segment of the associated awning arm, preferably to the segment of the awning arm on the drop profile side. In their deactivated state, the traverses preferably do not change their position relative to the associated awning arm when the awning arms are pivoted in or out.

Fastening means are preferably provided with which the free ends of the traverses—or fastening areas of the traverses lying between the ends of the traverse—can be detachably fastened to the awning arms, preferably in the deactivated state of the traverses. The attachment means may include a retaining clip. The traverses can preferably be fastened to the awning arms with the fastening means on the side of the awning arms, which face one another when the awning arms are swung out.

When the awning arms are pivoted out, the crossbars can preferably be pivoted about the pivot axis relative to the associated awning arm, starting from their deactivated state.

According to the invention, the free end of the traverses can then be fixed to the front profile with fixing means and can be arranged in this way between an awning arm and the front profile. This state of the traverse is preferably referred to as the activated state of the traverse.

The fixing means can preferably be used to achieve a fixed arrangement of the free ends of the traverses on the drop profile. The position of this arrangement relative to the drop profile is preferably unchangeable, ie not adjustable. This fixed arrangement can preferably be achieved by creating a fixed seat or a fixed support of the free ends of the traverses on the drop profile. The fixing means can include at least one stop or be formed by it, which can be fixedly arranged on the drop profile. The stop of the drop profile is preferably on the dem side of the drop profile facing the awning fabric. The stop preferably prevents the free ends of the traverses from sliding along the front profile in each case beyond the stop. Exactly one stop can be provided for each traverse. With this, an unchangeable position of the arrangement of the free end of each traverse on the front profile can preferably be achieved in relation to the front profile. As a result, the stop can be designed to be simple and robust.

The dropouts of the awning arms are preferably each attached to an arm attachment point on the dropout profile.

Preferably, the traverses with the fixing means can each be fixed at a traverse attachment point on the drop profile.

The distance between the truss attachment point and the arm attachment point of the associated awning arm is preferably greater than 1/10 of the length of the drop profile. This can serve to distribute forces particularly well, in order to achieve a particularly robust arrangement, since in this way the points at which the front profile is supported are well distributed over the length of the front profile. In this way, bending of the drop profile, for example due to the tension of the awning fabric, can be avoided or reduced. In this way, the tension of the awning fabric can preferably be increased or maintained more evenly.

The traverses preferably each form a triangle with a segment of the articulated arm, preferably the segment on the front profile and the area of the front profile between the arm attachment point and the traverse attachment point.

Die Traversen sind bevorzugt längenveränderbar. The traverses are preferably variable in length.

According to an additional or alternative aspect of the invention, the traverses are telescopic. Preferably, the traverses - preferably after loosening the fastening means and more preferably when the awning arms are swung out - variable in length.

When the awning arms are swung out, the crossbar attachment point is preferably arranged on the other side of an imaginary direct connection between the central joint and the drop profile than the arm attachment point of the associated awning arm. Therefore, each traverse must preferably be at least temporarily changed in length, more precisely shortened, in order to be able to pivot back from the activated state into the deactivated state.

Das Markisentuch ist bevorzugt ausrollbar und einrollbar. The awning fabric can preferably be rolled out and rolled up.

In the activated state, the traverses preferably allow an increase in the tension of the awning fabric, but preferably not by lengthening the traverses, but rather by slightly rolling up the awning fabric when the traverses are in the activated state.

In their deactivated state, the traverses preferably do not affect the erection or dismantling of the awning. In their deactivated state, the traverses preferably do not increase the force that has to be applied to roll the awning fabric in or out.

The trusses preferably do not generate any friction during assembly and disassembly of the awning.

In their deactivated state, the traverses preferably do not generate any friction when the awning arms are pivoted in or out. In this way, it can be achieved, as is preferred, that the erection or dismantling of the awning is not made more difficult by the traverses. Since no friction is generated by the traverses, it is also avoided, for example, that an initially low level of friction due to wear and/or dirt increases to such an extent that assembly or dismantling of the awning becomes impossible.

In the activated state, the traverses preferably block the associated awning arm in its position, so that it is prevented from doing so, for example accidentally swinging in due to the effects of wind during a storm. In order to dismantle the awning, it is preferably necessary to loosen the free ends of the traverses from the drop profile.

The weight of the traverses preferably does not act on the drop profile when the awning is being set up and dismantled or when the traverse is in the deactivated state, but preferably on one awning arm, preferably in each case approximately in the middle of a segment of the associated awning arm. In this way, the erection and dismantling of the awning can be made more comfortable and the awning can have a longer service life. The awning is preferably not self-supporting, as is known per se for awnings for camping vehicles, but has support feet. When constructing the awning, it is preferably necessary for these support feet to be attached when the awning fabric is not yet fully unrolled and to be repositioned as the awning fabric continues to be unrolled. The drop profile is preferably the element of the awning furthest away from the mounting wall and therefore loads the awning arms with the greatest leverage when the awning has not fallen down. Since the weight of the traverses is not applied to the drop profile, they lead to a lower increase in the load on the articulated arms when the awning is not yet supported and partially assembled. Compared to an arrangement of the traverses, in which their weight acts on the drop profile during assembly, the awning fabric can be unrolled further before the support legs have to be used.

A receptacle is preferably provided in each of the awning arms and the crossbars can be stowed away in the receptacle when the awning is in the dismantled state and during assembly or dismantling of the awning. This also makes it possible to ensure that the dimensions of the awning are not increased when dismantled, that is to say, for example, that the housing does not have to be made larger because of the traverses.

To completely dismantle the awning, it is preferably necessary to stow the awning in the receptacles. The traverses preferably remain in these recordings when the awning is in the dismantled state.

The traverses are preferably telescopic in that they each comprise an outer tube and an inner tube at least partially arranged in the outer tube. The inner tube can preferably be partially pulled out of the outer tube or at least partially pushed into the outer tube.

The shape of the outer tube and the shape of the receptacle in the awning arm are preferably coordinated in such a way that neither the maximum width nor the maximum height of the awning arm in the region of the receptacle increases when a traverse is arranged in the receptacle. This creates another prerequisite for ensuring that the dimensions of the awning when dismantled are not increased by the traverses.

In the activated state, the traverses preferably allow an increase in the tension of the awning fabric, preferably by absorbing compressive forces in the direction of their longitudinal extent.

Preferably, movement of the inner tube relative to the outer tube is selectively blockable. The blocking means can comprise a spring-loaded pin which passes through a bore in the inner tube and which engages in a bore in the outer tube as soon as this is brought into alignment with the bore in the inner tube.

As is already known per se, the awning arms preferably run at least approximately parallel to the awning fabric and horizontally or obliquely when the awning is in the assembled state. The awning arms are preferably used to stretch out the awning fabric. The awning arms preferably do not touch the ground even when the awning is in the assembled state.

Bevorzugt sind zwei Markisenarme vorgesehen, vorzugsweise genau zwei. Bevorzugt sind zwei Traversen vorgesehen, vorzugsweise genau zwei. Two awning arms are preferably provided, preferably exactly two. Two traverses are preferably provided, preferably exactly two.

The traverses preferably function as a tensioning rafter, preferably such that two further attachment points are added between each awning arm and the front rail. The tensioning effect is preferably achieved by slightly rolling up the awning fabric when the traverses are in the activated state.

When activated, the traverses preferably also block intentional dismantling of the awning.

The ends of the awning arms opposite the dropouts can preferably be fastened directly or indirectly to a fastening wall, for example of a camping vehicle. The camping vehicle can be a caravan or a mobile home.

The awning preferably has a housing. The awning is preferably a so-called cassette awning, with a cassette as the housing, preferably for attachment to a mounting wall, such as a wall or a roof of a camping vehicle. The ends of the awning arms opposite the dropouts can be pivotally attached to this cassette.

To set up the awning, preferably when the awning arms are already swung out, the free ends of the traverses can be detached from the fastening means and more preferably swung in the direction of the center of the awning. Preferably, the traverses can each, preferably after a - preferably telescopic - be fixed with their free end on the drop profile with the fixing means. Preferably, the traverses can then or simultaneously with the aid of the blocking means be blocked automatically or after actuation in such a way that a further change in length and in particular a shortening in length is no longer possible.

In 1 the exemplary embodiment of the awning 100 according to the invention, designated as a whole with 100, is shown in the assembled state.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the awning has a housing 19 which is designed as a cassette 20 and in which the awning is arranged in the dismantled state, not shown in the figures.

The awning 100 includes an awning fabric 1, which 1 is shown translucent. The awning cover 1 is fastened to a drop profile 2 with one edge. It is attached to the cassette 20 with the opposite edge. Awning arms 3, 3' are arranged between the drop profile 2 and the cassette 20. The awning arms 3, 3′ are designed as articulated arms 9, 9′ and each have two segments 10, 10′, 11, 11′ which are each connected to one another with a central joint 12, 12′ pivotable about the joint axis G, G′ are. The articulated arms 3, 3' have a dropout 4, 4' with which they are attached to the dropout profile 2. When the awning is in the assembled state, the drop profile 2 is supported on the ground by means of two support feet 18, 18'.

Durch jede Traverse 5, 5' sind, wenn diese in ihrem aktivierten Zustand Z2 ist, zwei weitere Befestigungspunkte P1 und P2 zwischen dem Markisenarm 3, 3' und dem Ausfallprofil 2 geschaffen (siehe etwa Fig. 4). 1 shows that in the assembled state of the awning 100 shown there, two traverses 5, 5' are arranged between the awning arms 3, 3' and the drop profile. Each traverse 5, 5' creates two further attachment points P1 and P2 between the awning arm 3, 3' and the drop profile 2 when it is in its activated state Z2 (see e.g 4 ).

For example the figures 2 and 4 show that each traverse 5, 5' has a free end 6, 6' and a fixed end 7, 7'. Each traverse 5, 5' is arranged with its attached end 7, 7' on an awning arm 3, 3' so as to be pivotable and undetachable about a pivot axis A, A' by means of the central joint 12, 12'. The pivot axis A, A' coincides with the joint axis G, G'.

Fig. 2 zeigt eine Traverse 5 in deaktiviertem Zustand Z1. 2 shows a traverse 5 in the deactivated state Z1. The traverse 5 is with its free end 6, 6 'by means of fastening means 8, which include a retaining clip (see 4 ) attached to the awning arms 3, 3'.

Each traverse 5, 5 'is telescopic in the embodiment shown. How about that Figures 5 and 6 show, each traverse 5, 5' has an inner tube 14 and an outer tube 15, and the inner tube 14 is at least partially arranged in the outer tube 15 and is displaceable relative to it.

In the 2 The traverse 5 shown is arranged in a receptacle 13 of the associated awning arm 3 in such a way that its maximum width B and its maximum height H are not increased by the traverse 5, 5' (see in particular figure 5 ).

Fig. 2 zeigt auch, dass die Gewichtskraft Fg der Traversen 5, 5' bei dem Aufbau und dem Abbau der Markise bzw. in deaktiviertem Zustand Z1 der Traverse 5, 5' nicht an dem Ausfallprofil 2 ansetzt, sondern jeweils etwa in der Mitte eines Segments 11 eines Markisenarms 3, 3'. 2 also shows that the weight force Fg of the traverses 5, 5' during assembly and dismantling of the awning or in the deactivated state Z1 of the traverse 5, 5' is not attached to the drop profile 2, but in each case approximately in the middle of a segment 11 of an awning arm 3, 3'.

When the awning arms 3, 3' are swung out, the free ends 6, 6' of the traverses 5, 5' can be detached from the fastening means 8 and swung in the direction of the center M of the awning. After a telescopic change in length of the traverse 5, 5', it can be fixed with its free end 6, 6' to the drop profile 2 and thus brought into its activated state Z2 ( Figures 3 and 4 ). Fixing means 17 are provided for this purpose. These are formed by exactly one stop 21 for each traverse ( 4 ). The stop 21 protrudes from the front profile 2 on the side of the front profile 2 facing the awning fabric 1 . The stop 21 prevents the free ends 6, 6′ of the traverses 5, 5′ from sliding past the stop 21 along the drop profile 2, in 4 to the left. Thereupon or at the same time, the traverse 5, 5' can be blocked automatically or by actuation with the aid of blocking means 16 in such a way that a further telescopic change in length and in particular a shortening in length is no longer possible. The blocking means comprise a spring-loaded pin, not shown in the figure, which penetrates a bore in the inner tube and which engages in a bore in the outer tube as soon as this is brought into alignment with the bore in the inner tube.

The free traverse end 6, 6' can be attached to a traverse attachment point S2 on the front profile 2, the distance D from the arm attachment point S1, at which the associated awning arm is attached to the front profile with its dropout 4, is greater than 1/10 of the length L of the front profile 2 (see 1 ).
