Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of restraint devices a shoe on a sliding board intended for practice snowboarding, and more specifically concerns positioning of the devices on the board.
- Snowboarding is done with needs different from one user to another, especially with regard to concerns the position of the feet on the board.
- the prior art has proposed retaining devices for a shoe on a board.
- document US 5,236,216 describes a device comprising a plate clamped on a board by a disc and screws. Each screw cooperates with an insert integral with the plank so that tightening the screws urges the disc towards the plate, which is in turn immobilized by friction at board contact.
- This device allows adjustment in rotation of a shoe secured to the plate because the plate is guided in rotation by the disc.
- the device according to document US 5,236,216 has disadvantages.
- the device allows adjustments in translation in a single direction substantially parallel to the board, which prevents the user from adjusting the positions shoes both lengthwise and in the the width of the board.
- the inserts which receive the screws disk retainers wear out fairly quickly as they are requested at each setting. When worn, the inserts no longer allow the device to be secured. It follows that the board is unusable.
- the invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
- the invention provides a device for retaining a shoe on a gliding board, the device comprising a shoe receiving base, at least one means of tightening urging the base towards the board.
- the device according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it comprises at least one means for positioning the base relative to the board both in translation throughout direction substantially parallel to the board, and in rotation at any angle from an axis substantially perpendicular to the board.
- This structure allows the user to adapt the positions shoes both lengthwise and in the the width of the board.
- the device according to the invention includes a plate interposed between the board and the base, at minus a clamping means maintaining the base on the plate, other clamping means keeping the plate on the board, and is characterized by the fact that it comprises on the one hand means for positioning the plate on the board in translation in two directions substantially parallel to the board, and secondly means for positioning the base relative to the plate both in translation in any direction substantially parallel to the board and in rotation at any angle to an axis substantially perpendicular to the board.
- This structure makes it possible to preposition the device on the board by positioning the plate at a favorite place on the board. Then the user can adjust the timing of the device by modifying the position of the base on the plate. It follows that the settings for position of the device essentially wear the plate. As the plate is an intermediate piece, it is advantageously possible to change in case of wear, without having to change the board.
- the device according to the invention is also characterized by the fact that the means for positioning the plate on the board include at least two sets of defined holes in the plate for the passage of screws and a set of holes threaded defined in the board to accommodate the screws, each assembly having the same arrangement of the orifices one by compared to others.
- each set of orifices comprises four orifices located respectively at the four corners of a square. he It follows that the mounting of the plate on the board is simple.
- the plate comprises five sets orifices, the five sets of orifices being arranged one compared to others so as to form four groups identical of five orifices, each of the five orifices of a group belonging to a different set of orifices.
- This arrangement allows you to preset the position of the device on the board.
- the preset position of the device on the board is done in two directions perpendicular, which can correspond to the length and the width of the board.
- the orifices of the same set of orifices are located on the sides of the square 40mm from each other, and the holes of each group are spaced two by two by 10mm according to the diagonals of the square.
- the device according to the invention adapts to standard commercial boards, and allows a prepositioning plus or minus ten millimeters in two directions relative to a reference point of the board.
- the device according to the invention is further characterized by the fact that the means for positioning the base on the plate include a protruding shoulder of the plate, the shoulder coming to be housed in an orifice of the base, the orifice being larger than the shoulder.
- This structure makes it possible to position the base relative to the plate both in translation and in rotation, in any direction.
- the orifice of the base has a square shape with rounded corners.
- a screw screwed into the plate crosses the orifice of the base by a threaded part and bears on the base by a head, to hold the base on the plate.
- the Adjustment operations are quick and easy.
- the coefficient of friction between the washer and base is less than the coefficient of friction between the base and the plate. This arrangement allows stronger clamping of the base on the plate.
- the invention also relates to a board comprising the device.
- a device 1 for retaining a shoe on a board slide 2 is shown in exploded perspective in Figure 1.
- the device 1 comprises a base 3 intended to receive the shoe not shown by a user, the base 3 being held on board 2 using a plate 4, a washer 5 and a screw 6.
- the plate 4 is secured to the plate 2 by means of joining made in the form of four screws 7, 8, 9, 10 passing through the orifices of the plate 4 to be housed in threaded inserts not shown in plate 2.
- the orifices of the plate 4 are divided into four groups 11, 12, 13, 14, each group 11, 12, 13, 14 including five orifices.
- group 11 has five cylindrical holes 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 arranged as follows: the axes of the orifices 15, 18 and 19 delimit the four corners of a square of 20 millimeters aside, the orifice 17 being placed in the center of the square. In this way, the central opening 17 of group 11 is located 10mm from each of the other ports 15, 16, 18 and 19.
- group 12 includes five orifices cylindrical 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, the orifice 22 being central, the group 13 includes five cylindrical orifices 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, the hole 27 being central, and the group 14 comprises five cylindrical orifices 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, the orifice 32 being central.
- Each central opening 17, 22, 27 and 32 of groups 11, 12, 13, 14 is arranged at the four corners of a 40-millimeter square side to form a first set of holes.
- Groups 11, 12, 13 and 14 are oriented on plate 4 of so as to be able to offset the plate 4 relative to the plate 2 more or less 10mm in a first direction, and more or less 10mm in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first. This is why the orifices are aligned by six. For example, holes 15, 17, 18 of the group 11 are aligned with the orifices 20, 22, 23 of the group 12.
- the orifices 30, 32, 33 of group 14 are aligned with the holes 25, 27, 28 of group 13.
- the holes 29, 27, 26 of group 13 are aligned with the orifices 24, 22, 21 of the group 12.
- Figure 2 is a partial section of Figure 1 passing through the orifices 27 and 17 of the plate 4 in a plane substantially perpendicular to the board 2.
- the tool may be a cooperating hexagon wrench with a hexagon socket 35 of the screw, or even a wrench pins cooperating with two holes 36, 37 of the opposite screw diametrically with respect to an axis of rotation 38 of the screw 6.
- the cavity 35 and the orifices 36, 37 are defined on one side 39 of the screw which faces the shoe not shown of the user.
- a face 40 of the screw 6 opposite the face 39 has a circular groove 41 for retaining the washer 5 against the face 40, as well as a central threaded shoulder 42 provided for cooperate with plate 4.
- the thickness of the material included between the faces 39 and 40 of the screw 6 delimits the head of the screw 6.
- the plate 4 is a piece of revolution having, in addition to the positioning holes on the board 2 previously described, a face 43 on the side of the board 2, a face 44 opposite the face 43, a projecting shoulder 45 on the face 44, and a central threaded orifice 46 crossing the plate 4 and the shoulder 45.
- the orifice 46 and the shoulder 45 have a common axis which merges with the axis 38 of the screw 6 when device 1 is assembled.
- the base 3 is made so as to cooperate with the plate 4 and screw 6. To do this, it is crossed by an orifice 47 whose diameter is greater than the diameter of the shoulder 45 of the plate 4.
- a counterbore 48 is provided in a face 49 of the base 3 located on the side of the screw 6 to accommodate the washer 5 and the head of the screw 6.
- a counterbore 50 is provided in a face 51 of the base 3 located on the side of the board 2 for accommodate plate 4. Lamination 48, orifice 47 and counterbore 50 are coaxial.

- Screw 6 is tightened in the plate 4 which is itself immobilized on board 2. Screw 6 urges base 3 towards plate 2 and plate 4 via the washer 5 interposed between the head of the screw 6 and the bottom of the counterbore 48 of the base 3. It follows that the base 3 is immobilized by compared to plate 2 by friction on plate 2 and / or on the face 44 of the plate 4.
- the diameter of the counterbore 48 is greater than that of the head of the screw 6, and the diameter of the counterbore 50 is greater than that of plate 4. This is why the base 3 is movable relative to the board 2 when the screw 6 is loose.
- respective diameters of counterbore 48, orifice 47 and counterbore 50 of the base 3 are provided so that the displacement of the base 3 relative to the plate 4 is limited by contact a wall 52 of the orifice 47 of the base 3 on the shoulder 45 of deck 4.
- the structure of the device 1 allows a infrequent preset and additional settings more frequent position of the shoe in relation to the plate 2.
- Figures 4 and 5 schematically give two examples orientation of the base 3 of the device 1. Each example corresponds to a frozen position of plate 2 and to a preset position given for stage 4.
- Figure 4 shows the base 3 positioned so that the shoulder 45 of the plate 4 is in contact with the wall 52 orifice 47 of the base 3. When the screw 6 not visible on Figure 4 is tight, the base 3 remains in this position.
- the shoulder 45 of the plate 4 is not in contact with the wall 52 of the orifice 47 of the base 3.
- the positioning of the base 3 according to FIG. 5 differs from its positioning according to Figure 4 both in translation parallel to plate 2 and rotating along an axis perpendicular to the board 2.
- Device 1 can be made with all materials known to those skilled in the art according to any suitable technique.
- the plate 4 and the screw 6 are produced from metals or metallic alloys such as steel alloys.
- the washer 5 is made of a material with a low coefficient of friction like a bronze alloy, an aluminum washer the surface of which is chemically treated to include anti-adhesion products, a reinforced plastic material or not such than polytetrafluoroethylene.
- the base 3 is preferably made of plastic material injected. It may be planned to add layers of material or to mechanically or chemically treat parts of the device 1 so as to control the friction conditions pieces on top of each other.
- the plate 4 may have lights 110, 120, 130, replacing the groups of orifices, to facilitate adjustment in two directions perpendicular without having to carry out the operations of complete loosening / re-tightening of the screws.
- the number of lights may be variable. For good support of the plate on the board, two lights, at least are necessary.
- three lights 110, 120, 130 are provided in the shape of a cross and arranged in a triangle across platinum.
- Figure 7 shows another variant in which four lights 111, 121, 131, 141, are provided in the form of L allowing continuous adjustment in three separate portions of the plate on the board on each series of orifice on the board.
- the shape of the orifice 47 of the base 3 can be circular, elliptical or other.
