Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for packaging a Roll of material where the circumference of the roll of material encased in a wrapping paper made from brown paper that is pointed with its long edge under one Angle to the circumferential direction of the web roll the roll of material is applied and then helical is guided around the roll of material.
- This document shows a winding machine for wrapping large rolls, especially paper rolls.
- This winding machine has a supply roll for a wrapping paper, which is helical around a Roll of material web is to be led around.
- the web roll lies in a changing bed two carrier rollers, both of which are driven.
- the packaging web roll stands essentially with its axis perpendicular to the web roll.
- the packaging line is therefore diverted via a pulley before it comes on the material web roll.
- the pulley is at an angle to both the axis of the web roll as well as the packaging web roll. The pulley becomes parallel when packing moved to the web roll.
- the web rolls to be packaged have a considerable amount Size. Their diameter is usually in the range from 500 to 2,100 mm.
- the roll width is usually 500 to 3800 mm or more.
- Such web rolls arise, for example in paper or textile production.
- the packaging line offers mechanical protection against damage. On the other hand, it should also influence of environmental factors such as air humidity. Since the material web rolls during production with the highest different widths occur, is known Devices (EP 0 499 954 A1) a large number of Packaging web rolls with different widths intended. Here, the web rolls in Depending on their width in different classes assigned.
- each breadth class Correspondingly wide packaging web roll necessary. This must be so wide that when wrapping or Wrap the web of material web axially a certain amount Length, usually 100 to 250 mm, over the material web roll survives. The overhang must be large enough be to him on the face of the web roll to be able to fold. On the other hand, the supernatant is allowed not be too big. Otherwise the folding cannot more with the desired quality. This is important, for example, when the pre-packaged Material web rolls are stacked axially one above the other should (so-called stacking of chimneys).
- the invention has for its object in a helically packed material web the To produce end face packaging similar to that of a conventional packaging that comes from a packaging line with width adapted to the roll of material is formed.
- This task is carried out in a method of the type mentioned at the beginning Art solved in that in addition to helical wrapping of the web roll with the packaging line a second packaging line aligned parallel to the circumferential direction and under Formation of an axial projection in the area of a axial end of the web roll around the web roll is wrapped, both packaging lanes from the same supply roll and the packaging web between the application of the first and the second packaging line is cut.
- this second packaging web has an edge strip, in contrast to the first packaging line, no longer runs at an angle to the circumferential direction, but in parallel.
- This edge strip covers the area from the helical wrapping of the Roll of material roll free at the beginning of the roll of material web stayed. So that the web of material on your Protected circumference in the area of the roll edges.
- the edge strip also serves one Provide supernatant, which then later on Face of the web roll can to between an inner front cover and an outer front cover to be attached.
- Packaging no longer of a conventional one Packaging consisting of a packaging line with a sufficient width has been formed. Because both packaging lines unwound from the same supply roll you only need a single supply roll, what the logistics and the stocking quite considerable facilitated. The device required becomes lighter and is easier to construct. Has wrapping paper themselves for packaging such web rolls proven. With wrapping paper, however, there is a risk that that it tears when there is an uneven load is exposed. Because of this, you could use wrapping paper so far only used if the scope of the Material web roll was wrapped evenly. By the new process can now also be wrapping paper use when the width of the wrapping paper web is considerable narrower than the width of the material web roll is.
- the angle is set in this way will that adjacent winding layers of the packaging web overlap each other. This gives you at a coherent cover in a single winding process for the scope of the web roll.
- Adjacent wedge layers preferably overlap about half the width of the packaging line. In order to each encounter the next but one layer of the Packing line in the middle of the intermediate one Winding layer on each other, only separated by this winding layer. This automatically creates a two-layer cover, which is usually sufficient to protect the web roll to ensure. The coverage is large enough to prevent moisture or other ingress Environmental influences through the gap between successive Prevent layers of the packaging web.
- the envelope can be completed with a single winding process become. A stronger shell, a shell, which consists of more than two layers of the packaging web, is often undesirable for cost reasons.
- the helically guided one preferably ends Packing path within the axial extension of the Roll of material web. This avoids that the axial ends of the web roll a non-uniform Protrusion forms. If this is uneven Protrusion on the end face is too expect the thickness of the weft not to exceed the entire circumference of the material web roll on its end face done evenly. Especially with an intended one Chimney stacking of the web rolls could it then causes the individual web rolls to be skewed come. But if you avoid it from the start, that such an unevenness to one If the stack is skewed, you can also use the new procedures pack rolls that later on top of each other should be stacked.
- the second packaging line after the first packaging web applied.
- You can be the first Packaging web with the outermost layer of the material web connect on the roll of material and then later the second packaging line with the one already applied first packaging line.
- This has the advantage that the the first packaging line practically all over with the outermost one Position of the material web on the material web roll can be connected, which increases reliability.
- the axial edge of the web roll somewhat thicker, i.e. he receives one marginally larger diameter, which will later transport the Rolling, especially by unrolling, facilitated.
- the second packaging line with one is advantageous larger number of layers wrapped around the web roll than the first packaging line.
- One is on the one hand endeavors to cover the through the first packaging line is formed as inexpensively as possible to design, so with as few layers of the Packaging lane.
- a multi-layer winding to install The fact that now with a single packaging web width works, you can do both Agree claims with each other.
- the web roll will be along most of its axial length for example wrapped with two layers of the packaging web. On the other hand, there are four or six layers applied to ensure edge protection.
- Adjacent packaging web sections are preferred glued together. So you get one good cohesion of the entire packaging.
- the packaging becomes stable and protects the web roll against the penetration of moisture.
- Gluing can by applying adhesive. But it can also a packaging web already provided with adhesive are used, e.g. by moistening a rubber coating or heating a layer of PE or others known types is made sticky.
- the packaging web preferably has a width of at least 350 mm. This allows an axial Realize a protrusion of 100 to 150 mm at the end of the roll. At the same time you can see the packaging line wrap around the roll of material so that the desired one Cohesion is guaranteed, i.e. the overlap between adjacent winding layers is sufficient. Preferably but one becomes packaging web widths of about Use 500 mm.
- a device can be used to carry out the method Use with a packaging dispenser that has a packaging web dispenser, wherein the packaging web dispenser in a tip Angle to the circumferential direction of the web roll adjustable and the packaging web dispenser along the Roll of material web is axially movable.
- the packaging web dispenser is the part of the packaging web dispenser, from which the packaging web comes out. If the packaging web dispenser an acute angle to the circumferential direction of the roll of material web, this means that the longitudinal edge of the packaging web is flat this acute angle with the circumferential direction of the web roll includes. This results in if the web roll is automatically rotated helical course of the packaging web the scope of the web roll. Because the packaging web dispenser is simultaneously moved axially also no illegal side Tensions on the packaging line, in particular for wrapping paper to tear the packaging web could lead.
- the packaging web roll is preferably made of one Position in which their axis is parallel to the axis of the web roll is pivotable into a position in which form an acute angle on both axes.
- the packaging line can rather be straight from the packaging web roll deducted and directly onto the peripheral surface the web of material to be placed.
- the fact that the packaging web roll also in one position can be pivoted to the web roll, in the the two axes are parallel, you can use the same one Packaging web roll also produce the edge strips, which have the axial projection and which Protect edges.
- the entire packaging web dispenser is preferably rotatable or pivotable relative to the roll of material web. So you can use the packaging web dispenser to be understood as a unit that is essentially structured like this is like conventional packaging dispensers also. In contrast to the conventional facilities the new packaging dispenser only has to twist or be pivotable. This can be done, for example realize that the packaging web dispenser is rotating or is pivotally mounted on a slide which the axial movement causes.
- the packaging web dispenser advantageously has a drive for movement along the web roll on.
- the load on the packaging line will kept small.
- the axial movement no longer has to are generated via the side forces on the material web. Rather, it takes place under the action of the drive.
- a control device is provided with a diameter measuring device is connected and which is the winding speed and the feed of the packaging web dispenser taking into account the diameter of the material web roll coordinated. This allows generate almost tension-free winding processes. If the Diameter of the roll of material to be packed and the angle at which the packaging web is to the circumferential direction is known, the feed rate can be compared to the packaging web donor of the web roll must be easily calculated. The drive can be controlled accordingly.
- the packaging web dispenser preferably has one Glue application device on. This can be done after Unwinding the packaging web from the packaging web roll Apply glue immediately, which leads to a dense Gluing the packaging leads. If one already adhesive-coated packaging web is used, you can also use a glue application device replace other adhesive transfer station. Such Bonding station can be at a water soluble Work glue, for example, by Applies water to the packaging line. With PE-coated Packaging webs are glued through Heat activated.
- a packaging web dispenser 10 is also provided, which carries a packaging web roll 11, on the one Packaging web 12 is wound up, via a delivery device 33 can be delivered.
- the packaging railway dispenser 10 is arranged on a slide 13, on rails 14, 15 parallel to the axial direction the web roll 2 is movable. This points the carriage 13 has a drive 16, however is only shown schematically.
- the packaging web dispenser 10 is opposite the carriage 13 rotatably mounted. It has a rotary drive 17 with the help of which an angle between the axis of the Packaging web roll 11 and the axis of the web roll 2 can be changed.
- the packaging web dispenser 10 can both with the help of the rotary drive 17 be aligned so that both axes are parallel to each other are, as well as so that both axes point one Include angles. Such a case is shown in FIG. 1 shown. From this it can be seen that the packaging track 12 accordingly with the circumferential direction the material web roll 2 encloses an acute angle.
- the circumferential direction is on the web roll 2 shows the direction on the circumferential surface of the roll of material web 2, which runs parallel to the end faces.
- the roll packaging device points to both One swiveling side of the material web roll Pack press 18 on.
- a folding device 19 is also provided, the a folding bike 21 arranged on a lever 20 for each has axial end face of the web roll 2.
- the roll packaging device 1 also a thickness measuring device 22, which with a control device 23 is connected and this Control device 23 the roll diameter of the material web roll 2 announces.
- the control device 23 in turn is connected to the drive 16 for the carriage 13 of the packaging web dispenser 10, with the drive the driven support roller 8 and with the rotary drive 17, the angle between the packaging web dispenser 10 and the carriage 13 adjusts.
- the roll packaging device 1 works as follows: The carriage 13 is in the region of an axial end position move the web roll 2. Here he will placed at an angle to the web roll 2, i.e. the axis the packaging web roll 11 and the axis of the packaged Material web roll 2 close a pointy Angles with each other, as can be seen from FIG. 3 is.
- the packaging web 12 is with the help of a glue application station 24 on their top with glue or another adhesive and then attach to the system brought the web roll 2. With the help of the control device 23 is now the driven support roller 8 turned. Then the web of material rolls down 2 in rotation.
- the control device 23 previously has the Packaging web dispenser 10 rotated so that the angle between the packaging web roll axis and the material web roll axis set so that there is a helical shape Wrapping the web of material 2 results from the packaging web 12.
- This wrapping is designed so that successive layers overlap by about half the packaging web width.
- the packaging line arranged that they (in the longitudinal direction of the packaging web seen) with one half outside and with the the other half on the inside of the roll of material to be packed 2 is present.
- the Packaging web dispenser 10 approximately in that shown in FIG. 4 Position, i.e. at the left end of the material web roll 2. In this position it is now turned this way or pivoted that he the packaging web 12 in one Feeds an angle of 90 ° to the web roll 2. At the same time it is positioned axially so that the packaging path 12 an axial projection 29 to the web of material web 2 forms. This axial projection has one axial length of about 100 to 150 mm.
- the packaging web 12 with adhesive so that the individual layers adhere firmly to one another.
- Packaging web 12 thus forms an edge strip 30, which later with its projection 29 on the front side 26 of the material web roll 2 can be folded.
- This edge strip 30 serves to protect the edges the web roll 2. For their protection is in the Usually a thicker shell is necessary. You can therefore Edge strips 30 from a larger number of layers build up the packaging web 12 as the rest of the wrapper.
- edge strip 30 When the edge strip 30 is completed, the tee knife 31 actuated again. The web roll 2 continues to rotate and the edge strip 30 is being completed.
- the packaging web dispenser 10 then travels as shown in FIG Fig. 5 is shown, to the other end of the web roll 2 and brings one in the same way Edge strip 32, which also protrudes axially and composed of several layers of the packaging web 12 can be.
- the packaging line can still be made from wrapping paper be what enables inexpensive packaging.
- feed and angle between the roller axes can be one Realize winding that is almost free of lateral There is tension on the packaging web.
- the helical or helical wrapping the roll of material web with the packaging web 12 can one continues to fold the packaging web evenly on the front of the web roll 2 realize.
- the edge protection can be improved.
