Gleiches gilt auch für den Elementarzylinder 13a, der in der beschriebenen Weise von der Endscheibe 19 abgedichtet wird, so daß die Aus­ puffgase durch den Katalysator 14 strömen müssen.The elementary cylinder 13 b has a filter medium 17 which is wound on a support tube 18 . Fig. 2 zeigt eine alternative Ausgestaltung für das Filter. Dargestellt ist eine Filter­ kerze 22, die in der Weise in einen Auspufftopf eingebaut werden kann, wie dies in Fig. 1 dargestellt ist. Die Filterkerze weist ein Gitter, bestehend aus gewickeltem Draht 23 auf, wobei hierdurch ein stabiler Verband entsteht. Dieser ist mit Endschei­ ben 19 fest verbunden, wodurch die Filterkerze gebildet wird. Auf den Draht, der als Katalysator dient, ist das strangförmige Filtermedium 17 aufgewickelt. Die Durch­ strömungsrichtung der Filterkerze ist durch Pfeile angedeutet. Fig. 2 shows an alternative embodiment for the filter. Claims (8)

1. Partikelfilter, insbesondere Rußfilter für das Abgas einer Brennkraftmaschine, wobei dieser ein Filtermedium (17) und einen Katalysator (14) aufweist, welche in einem Gehäuse mit einem Einlaß (11) und einem Auslaß (12) untergebracht sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Filtermedium (17) und Katalysator (14) strang­ förmig ausgebildet sind und zur Bildung eines zylindrischen Filtereinsatzes (13a, 13b, 22) aufgewickelt sind, wobei in Strömungsrichtung des zu filternden Fluides gesehen der Katalysator vor dem Filtermedium angeordnet ist.1.
