Abstract

A fuel pump (14) conveys fuel from a tank (12) to the internal combustion engine, and an ejector pump (16-22) for recirculating fuel within the tank. A fuel level measuring device (38) determines the fuel level in the tank. A valve device (34) switches the ejector pump on or off based on the determined level of fuel in the tank.
