Abstract
L'invention concerne un ensemble formant unité de pale destiné à des applications telles que des éoliennes, caractérisé par l'agencement d'un profil aérodynamique principal et d'un profil aérodynamique secondaire plus petit, joints par des éléments structurels aérodynamiques, lequel ensemble est monté sur un ensemble de moyeu de rotor au moyen d'un longeron porteur s'étendant à partir du profil aérodynamique principal. L'unité de pale est équilibrée et peut pivoter autour de l'axe longitudinal de son longeron porteur, et possède une stabilité aérodynamique statique et dynamique qui donne à l'unité de pale une capacité d'auto-réglage de l'angle de calage pour réguler la vitesse de rotation du moyeu de rotor de l'éolienne, pour amorcer la rotation du rotor en cas de vents faibles, et pour limiter la vitesse des pales du rotor en cas de vents forts. Une pluralité d'unités de pale est montée sur un moyeu de rotor.
