Abstract

The present invention concerns a metal container body for a non-round container having bends with a lid beaded on at the upper edge, the side wall (2) of which is provided with a shoulder (1a, 1b), whereby a first shoulder (1a) in at least one part of those areas which, seen in a top view, are elongated or less sharply bent in comparison to the other parts, is arranged closer to the upper edge (3) of the container than a second shoulder (1b) in the remaining areas, and whereby the side wall (2) has lateral riffles (4) extending essentially at right angles, at least in parts of the areas in which the first shoulder (la) is present, said lateral riffles (4) ending above the level at which the second shoulder (1b) is located.
