Abstract

a presente invenção proporciona um rna compreendendo na direção 5' para 3' uma primeira sequência e uma segunda sequência, estando a primeira sequência espaçada da segunda sequência por uma sequência espaçadora, sendo a primeira e segunda sequências substancialmente complementares e formando um dúplex através do emparelhamento de bases de watson e crick, sendo a segunda sequência capaz de hibridizar com o mrna de um gene alvo em um organismo, estando o rna substancialmente na forma de uma forquilha, sendo a segunda sequência totalmente complementar ao referido mrna ao longo da região em que hibridiza, a primeira sequência compreendendo bases de nucleotídeos que não emparelham como bases de watson e crick com a base correspondente na segunda sequência do dúplex, em que o dúplex não compreende regiões de 3 ou mais bases desemparelhadas consecutivas ou um rna compreendendo na direção 5' para 3' uma primeira sequência e uma segunda sequência, estando a primeira sequência espaçada da segunda sequência por uma sequência espaçadora, sendo a primeira e segunda sequências substancialmente complementares e formando um dúplex através do emparelhamento de bases de watson e crick, sendo a primeira sequência capaz de hibridizar com o mrna de um gene alvo em um organismo, estando o rna substancialmente na forma de uma forquilha, sendo a primeira sequência totalmente complementar ao referido mrna ao longo da região em que hibridiza, a segunda sequência compreendendo bases de nucleotídeos que não emparelham como bases de watson e crick com as bases de nucleotídeos correspondentes na primeira sequência do dúplex, em que o dúplex não compreende regiões de 3 ou mais bases desemparelhadas consecutivas.
