Abstract

Un conector eléctrico (10) para conectar una clavija (30) eléctrica que tiene terminales a un circuito (20) que tiene un par de enchufes hembra(40, 50) eléctricamente conductores adaptados para recibir las terminales (34, 35) de la clavija. Cadaenchufe hembra tiene una pata interna (42, 52), unapata externa (44, 54) y una porcion (46, 56) la cual es más estrecha que una terminal de la clavija. Un elemento (60) de soporte, deformable elásticamente,sostiene los enchufes hembras con un parde soportes internos (70, 80) en voladizos, los cuales sostienen las patas internas y definen una cavidad (68)entre los enchufes hembra en la cual los soportes internos se pueden flexionar. Esto permite que las patas internas se flexionen cuando las terminales de laclavija se insertan a los enchufes hembra más allá de las porciones estrechas. Un elemento intermedio (90) se dispone en la cavidad y se pone en contacto conpor lo menos un soporte interno en un punto de apoyo (76, 86) en el cual el elemento intermedio se opone a la flexion del soporte interno a la cavidad,para provocar que la pata interna correspondiente sujete a la terminal de la clavija con una fuerza de retencion. Si se desea un mecanismo de interrupciontérmicapuede interrumpir la conexion eléctrica entre los circuitos y uno de los enchufes hembra cuando el elemento intermedio excede una temperatura deumbral, para desconectar mediante esto la clavija.
