User:Miquel A. Fiol
M. A. Fiol received the Technical Engineer in Electricity degree from Escola de Ingeniería Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1974, and the Telecommunication Engineering and Ph.D. degrees from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyers de Telecomunicació, Universitat Politènica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Catalonia, in 1979 and 1982, respectively. He was a Professor with Departament de Matemàtica Aplicada i Telemàtica, E.T.S. d’Eng. de Telecomunicació, where he joined in 1979. He is currently an Emeritus Professor with Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a member of the Barcelona Graduate School of Mathematics (BGSMath) and Institut de Matemàtiques de la UPC-BarcelonaTech (IMTech). Lately, he has been involved in several research projects on the design and evaluation of interconnection networks for multiprocessor systems and complex networks. His current research interests include the applications of Graph Theory and Combinatorics in Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science, especially the study of interconnection topologies for large computer and communication networks and completely regular codes. He was a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
