edit@Epìdosis: Did you know there also is another kind of identifier for NFL players? E.g.

- http://www.nfl.com/players/profile?id=MAR642459
Both are retrievable from the source code of the web page (the second one is called "ESB ID", but I don't know referring to what).
Since on it.wiki I'm doing a lot of substitutions like this one, do you think we should propose a new property for the alternative ID? --Horcrux (talk) 09:05, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Horcrux: I think ESB ID is the obsolete form of the first one, as you can see also from en:Template:Infobox NFL biography. In my opinion a new identifier isn't necessary in this case, since we already have the most recent form of the IDs. --Epìdosis 13:26, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
Formatting update needed
editNFL.com updated their site recently, and with it came a new format for player pages. They now simply just go with "first-last" instead of arbitrary numbers. None of the old IDs redirect to the new page either. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dissident93 (talk • contribs).
