No, Linus actively removes security notes from changelogs.

In other words, he lies to make his team look better.

Nobody is asking for extra work to be done, just that if it's known to be a security issue, that that information be passed along, instead of being actively hidden.

sorry, git does not allow Linus to change someone else's changelog without completely redoing the commit.

Linus may ask people to change something before he pulls it, and he may avoid saying things in his changelogs, but the tools do not allow him to edit other people's changelogs.
