Also known as: Osaka Dome

Opened in: 1997

Capacity: 36,146

Dimensions: LF & RF: 100 m (328 ft) / CF: 122 m (400 ft)

Description: The Buffaloes play most of their games in a very standard domed stadium (although, from the inside, it kind of looks like a spaceship!). It is conveniently located (walking distance from JR, Hanshin and subway lines), but does not offer a particularly spirited atmosphere, or even sell the most interesting of stadium food. Games are quite poorly attended, although the fans in the outfield stands are boisterous and loyal.

For several series each season, the team makes appearances at the old playing grounds of the BlueWave in western Kobe. Read more about Hotto Motto Field here.

*The Hanshin Tigers also play some home games at the Osaka Dome when they are displaced due to the spring and summer Koshien high school baseball tournaments. They typically will play one home series in Osaka in late March/early April and then a couple more in August, for a total of 8-9 games.

Access: One-minute walk from Osaka Dome-mae Chiyozaki station (Nagahoritsurumi Ryokuchi subway line), or five-minute walk from Taisho JR station (Osaka Loop railway line).
