this was a nice one, i really liked the visuals and the colors especially. I also found the story really immersive and had fun immersing myself in the setting. I also liked the music a lot.

If i could provide some small suggestions: I found the icons for the controls to be a little bit confusing, i would highlight the button to be pressed and not the rest of the mouse. This confused me even more because for example skipping the dialogue worked with both mouse buttons! I would definetly not do that in your next game :)

Also maybe introduce the scales earlier in the game. I was maybe 5 - 10 minutes in and had not seen the theme of the jam yet.

Otherwise I had a lot of fun and the shooting felt quite original! Congrats on the game

Good job ! As you said it doesn't suit the theme the best, but I really enjoy the story, the art, the sound design and the music was well chosen. I would love the gameplay to be extended and a bit more engaging at all parts of the story. For example : have more actions to pick the gold like digging for it,  have to scale the gold yourself with an antique balance and have choices to fight or flee battles. And finally I would have love to be able to differentiate the main character from others characters in big battles. Cause I really want to save my lovely Louis first, and then think about the others.

Alright the game was fun it was hard to realize how to move I almost just gave up before realizing that you need to click on your guy the game is a mix of different ideas, I liked the story the gameplay was simplistic but I kind of felt like it's there to fill in the time instead of offering a engaging expirience, the AI felt a little too dumb and I never felt like they are a threat. But the artwork was clean and I like the aesthetic
