MIDAS Quick Start Guide

The  Met Office MIDAS dataset collection is one of CEDA's most popular datasets and also one which can cause users some issues when attempting to use it. To help address this problem CEDA have put together a MIDAS Users Quick Start Guide available via the CEDA Document Repository at:

http://cedadocs.ceda.ac.uk/1437/

The guide covers how users can:

• find the stations reporting the data they need
• use the CEDA Web Processing Service (CEDA-WPS) to extract the desired data
• use the quality control flags and undertake basic filtering of the data

Note  - you will need to first register as a CEDA user and apply for access to the MIDAS dataset collection before you can access these data.
