This is in particular problematic if we have categorical indicators AND exogenous (observed) binary covariates. In that setting, using conditional.x = FALSE does not help (as we have binary covariates).

(sam.method = "global" should work though)

In general, the local SAM framework for conditional.x = TRUE simply has not been developed yet.
