The licensor could auto upgrade itself when it detects a new version is available, since keeping the licensor up to date is usually important and there is no reason to keep an older version.

On the implementation side it just needs to use some Java timer to check from time to time if there is a new version. We could also add a configuration option to disable the automatic upgrades.
