We need support for fields describing primary and secondary administrative divisions for countries other than the USA, Hawaii and Alaska. This must be entered both in the station location profile (MY_STATE, MY_CNTY) and in the QSO Entry (Edit) form (STATE, CNTY).
According to the ADIF specification these fields have a value for:
STATE/MY_STATE -- more then 50 countires (see http://adif.org/314/ADIF_314.htm#Primary_Administrative_Subdivision for details)
CNTY/MY_CNTY -- 6 countries (see http://adif.org/314/ADIF_314.htm#Secondary_Administrative_Subdivision for details).
Why is this feature important?
This will allow you to export the ADIF file for national award applications (US Counties, RDA Award, etc.) and check the fulfillment of these awards in Wavelog. It will also allow correct log uploads (via ADIF export or synchronization via API with online log and QSL systems).
Is this feature personal or useful to others?
I think this feature will be useful for Wavelog users of those countries for which administrative division in ADIF format is supported, as well as for those users who will fulfill the conditions of national awards of those countries.
