A lot of RbVmomi is pretty old and not in the healthiest state. For instance, RbVmomi still supports Ruby 1.8.7 even though that Ruby was released in 2008 and has been EOL since July 31, 2014. Going forward, I'd like to only support Ruby versions that are still being supported. There are a lot of code issues as well. I'd like to add a linter to this library and maintain strict adherence to it (where reasonable). This library isn't getting a lot of new functionality going forward so I'd like to get it into a reasonably stable place and let it stay pretty simple going forward.
