Sequence of actions:

  1. Install any extension using GM_download. eg: GM_download test
  2. Open example.com
  3. Click in command menu in script

Problem:

Firefox closes

Expected result:

Download file hello.txt

Devtools console contents:

  • Browser: Firefox 132.0.2
  • Violentmonkey Version: 2.28.0
