When you load both versions (Europe PAL and US NTSC) via Saroo as the first game, after your turned on the console, they are working fine. But when you booted another game before them, both fail after the Sega Logo with a black screen. You have to press the Saturn reset button, the IGR isn't function anymore. Used my Japanese Saturn, with proper Redump CD Images. Firmware is v0.7. 128 GB SD card, exFAT. |
th 8000 anks @Retro-Nerd , I had no idea that some games didn't work after a "soft-reset". 👍 I tested now with your instructions, and launching Bubble bobble right after powering up the Saturn worked fine. No idea if this is a game bug or other games also require a hard reset before launching. (if there are other games in the same situation, perhaps something could be done, like a list or Readme.txt ?) |
Elevator Action Returns is very sensitive to IGR. |
The same thing happens with both So that's three games from the same "family" that have the same nuisance. These three games play absolutely perfectly for me as long as they're launched after a fresh boot, and i can play for hours without trouble. Perhaps some area of memory isn't being fully cleared with the soft-reset, which these games are sensitive to? |
I'm using Saroo with v0.7 firmware, 128gb sdcard (exfat), on a PAL Saturn.
(I've no issues loading over 100+ different games with Saroo on this same setup)
I first tried the original PAL version,
Bubble Bobble also featuring Rainbow Islands (Europe)
but it didn't work, it just goes to a black screen after the SEGA logo. Then I decided to try the NTSC version,
Bubble Bobble also featuring Rainbow Islands (USA)
, and I had the same result, black screen after SEGA logo. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
