I'm a researcher in computational neuroscience investigating decision making, learning and cognition. Beside neuroscience, I'm also interested in open and reproducible science (I've co-founded ReScience C with Konrad Hinsen and wrote the article Transforming Code into Scientific Contribution), scientific visualization (I've created glumpy, co-created VisPy and authored the popular Ten Simple Rules for Better Figures article), Science outreach (e.g. The Conversation) and computer graphics (especially digital typography).
I've wrote several open access books (From Pyhon to Numpy, Python+OpenGL and Scientific Visualization: Python+Matplotlib) and created several resources such as 100 Numpy exercises and Matplotlib cheat sheet.
I'm also an Emacs hacker (N Ξ N O Emacs, Elegant Emacs).
