Open Source Stories started with the intent to document the oral histories and untold narratives of open source. We are very aware that many who perform vital work in the open source ecosystem often go underrecognized, if they are recognized at all. For people just starting out in open source, there is no way to learn about this important context.

amanda casari and julia ferraioli decided to create a community-driven project to capture these stories. While Open Source Stories has been fun, educational, and inspiring to run, we would like to be able to scale up our efforts. To do that, we need to be able to do a bit of fundraising.

Should you choose to support us, we will use the funds to pay for:

• professional transcription services
• additional audio hosting
• our excellent designer's time
• software fees and equipment
• stickers and other promotional materials
