Question from @csarven in #8 (comment).

You can read the answer here: https://pdsinterop.org/conventions/addressbook/

We should probably update the contents of this repo to contain more complete information.

In the meantime we can at least link there, see #10

I'm not sure why you created this issue instead of responding in the thread ??? Consider changing the issue title to something more specific, after all, FYN of what?

So, looking at the convention documentation you've shared, SolidOS is squatting (read: things that do not exist) the following:

  • vcard:AddressBook
  • vcard:groupIndex
  • vcard:nameEmailIndex
  • vcard:inAddressBook
  • vcard:includesGroup
  • vcard:WebID

Thanks for the answer.

I don't share your confidence on foaf:AddressBook alone magically addressing everything - as raised in issue 8 - but good luck pursuing that path.

I'm going to bow out of this issue too. Thanks.

@michielbdejong thanks for the link, this is very useful!

How about we try and put this stuff into vcard, with a certain time limit (2 weeks?). And if we hit a wall, suggest a contingency plan.

@michielbdejong perhaps prefer using the term unregistered terms than squatted which seems to be overly negative
