It would be great to have new variables for total length per group, e.g.:
%group_length% - sum of lengths of all items per group
%group_size% - number of items per group

It will help to show sumarized info for albums in playlist.

Do you mean to make those fields available in the group titles themselves? Or to make them available when formatting track titles?

Yes, in the group titles, so it could be possible view e.g. entire album lenght and number of tracks.
