Was it was ever confirmed that SK8 was actually MagicFX ?

That depends on how you want to confirm. Jerome eventually plead guilty to the charges attributed to MagicFX.

I was the system administrator at Qualcomm that tracked him. I had always wanted to do a DefCon talk with him as a sort of "he did" vs. "we saw", but he never responded back to the attempts to connect. Don't blame him. Always thought he was very bright. Sad he passed.

I remember those campaigns/sites well. For a while there was a lot of noise about my evidence in the case, but I never had the chance to show it in court. Was looking forward to being cross-examined by Jennifer Granick. A lawyer I hold in the highest regard.
