You need to enable both Private Contribution and Activity Overview in your github profile to download.

Same here, it get's stuck at 100%, and I don't know if it is normal but it stays rendering everytime:

And these are my contribution settings:

The thing is that the first time it worked and I downloaded the video, but didn't have all the stats, and then I hit the Login again when I gave access to some of my organizations, and it is now stuck there.

I was checking the response and I get this everytime it does a POST request at https://githubunwrapped.com/api/render:
{"type":"render-running","progress":1}

But now it has more than 500 requests, I mean I'm not Linus Torvalds, I don't think I have too much code for the github-unwrapped to check this year. 😅

Same issue... Even tried it in incognito mode, thinking maybe some of my extensions are causing this issue... But turns out they're not the actual problem...

Image

P.S., I'm glad I downloaded a copy of this video before this happened. Yet I came here to report and found out I'm not the only one with this issue...

Chain of events

I'm not sure if this could help, but here's what I have done...

  • I have embedded the link (for my profile) in Notion and accidentally clicked download on the embedded windows.
  • I have gotten some error pages within the embedded window. (Sorry I don't have that screenshot)
  • So I opened through browser and clicked on the Sign in with GitHub and it redirected to the video preview and download page with the message "Generating video 100%" on the download button...
  • I have waited for a while and it still hasn't changed when I opened the console and found requests being sent from the website with the same configs. So many of them...
    Image
  • And when I opened up the console section, I found the following errors...
    Image
  • I believe the first few errors were from some of my browser extensions and I ignored them. But I googled the last two of them and came to the conclusion, it might be due to some of my browser extensions.
  • So, I tried opening up in incognito mode but I had no luck... And when I opened the console this time, there was a different message...
    Image
  • And when I opened network tabs, it was the same situation...
  • Then I tried with my friend's profile and it worked out fine (well, he didn't generate any unwrapped till this point)
  • Before I came to this issue section, I even tried it on different browsers and devices, but the result was the same...

So yeah, that's pretty much what happened in my case... I hope this was helpful in any way possible...
